2027 Rose Parade

Important information for all members of the Marching Southerners regarding our appearance in the 2027 Rose Parade will be posted here.
Please continue to check back throughout the season!
Cost – $300 per student
This will be paid to our travel provider, American Travel Consulting. More details will be provided at Band Camp about setting up your individual ATC account, donation page, and payment schedule.
September 1, 2026 – Deposit Due ($20)
October 1, 2026 – Final Balance Due ($280)
Flights
Flights will depart from the Birmingham airport. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the airport (carpooling encouraged). You will also be responsible for any airport parking fees.
We will be taking private chartered flights. There will be no luggage fees. Students should plan to bring one suitcase (under the plane) and one backpack (on the plane).
Equipment
Most instruments/equipment and all uniforms will be sent on the semi trailers.
Meals Included:
· Four (4) Breakfasts at your hotel
· One (1) Boxed Breakfast for Parade Morning
· One (1) Dinner at your hotel on New Year’s Eve
· Two (2) In-N-Out Burger Lunches (after Bandfest/Parade)
· One (1) Celebration Dinner on New Year’s Night
· One (1) Buffet Dinner at Dave & Buster’s
· One (1) $25 Meal Card for Lunch at Universal Studios Hollywood
· Two (2) $25 Meal Cards for Lunch and Dinner at Disneyland
Meals Not Included:
· Monday, December 28 (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
· Saturday, January 2 (lunch)
Extra Rehearsals (subject to change)
December 7 (4:00pm-7:00pm)
December 8 (4:00pm-7:00pm)
December 17 (12:00pm-3:00pm). Load Trucks (3:00pm-5:00pm)
***Possible bowl game may alter this schedule. If the team makes a bowl game, we will attend.
Merchandise
Everyone will received a commemorative Rose Parade picture of the Marching Southerners, an official program, and a commemorative lapel pin.
Extra lapel pins can be purchased through the Band Office for $10 each.
Fundraising
Everyone is expected to participate in our fundraising efforts during the Fall semester. This is the only way we can keep the cost paid by students for the trip manageable! Funds from band sponsored fundraising projects will go toward the entire band cost…..NOT the individual $300 student cost.
